The RPK-109 is a complete "sandwich-style" retrofitting package containing three precision-engineered plates:

• (2) RP-13509 Remodeler Plates (3-1/2" x 9"): Two ultra-slim, low-profile plates used to clamp onto the interior and exterior faces of the door. They instantly map over old trim scars, misaligned boreholes, and empty space.

• (1) CV-86-C Mortise Conversion Edge Plate (8" x 1-1/4"): A heavy-duty filler plate that slides perfectly into the standard commercial 86 mortise pocket on the door edge. It blanks out the large mortise lock cutout so a standard 1-1/8" cylindrical latch bolt can be cleanly installed.

3-Step Installation Overview

1. Prep the Door Edge: Slide the included CV-86-C plate right into the edge cutout left behind by the old mortise lock. Secure it flush using the edge mounting screws.

2. Sandwich the Faceplates: Align the two RP-13509 plates over the large holes on both the inside and outside faces of the door.

3. Mount and Install the New Lock: Secure the faceplates with the provided screws. Once clamped flat, pass your new cylindrical lever, knob, or smart lock straight through the aligned prep space and tighten down your new hardware.
