The Adams Rite 4591 Deadlatch Paddle is an ergonomic, high‑performance push/pull paddle handle designed as a robust alternative to traditional knobs or levers on commercial aluminum doors. It makes opening a latched door as natural as opening an unlatched one — simply push or pull in the direction the door swings. Compatible with Adams Rite 4300, 4500, 4900 series deadlatches and other narrow‑stile latch hardware, this paddle handle is perfect for high‑traffic storefronts, offices, and institutional entrances.
Featuring an extruded aluminum paddle with a zinc alloy escutcheon secured to resist torque loads, the 4591 is built for durability. It’s field‑configurable in four operation modes (push left, push right, pull left, pull right) and includes accessories like a cam plug for easy install. Optional monitor switch versions are available for integration with access control systems.
