Installation Overview

1. Remove Old Hardware: Completely extract the existing mortise lock body, cylinders, and trim from the door.

2. Insert the Filler Plate: Place the CV-86 plate into the cutout along the edge of the door.

3. Secure to the Door: Use the included countersunk screws to anchor the plate firmly to the integrated tabs or reinforcement brackets inside the door edge. Once flush, you can cleanly install your new cylindrical latch bolt.
