Cover and Conceal Unused Door Holes: Don-Jo BF 135 Hole Filler Plate

Whether you’ve removed an old deadbolt, taken off a redundant door lever, or simply need to seal an exposed bore hole on a commercial or residential door, the Don-Jo BF 135 Hole Filler Plate is the professional solution.

Instead of dealing with the time-consuming and messy process of wood-patching, bondo, or replacing an entire door blank, this heavy-duty steel plate acts as a secure sandwich clamp. It completely seals and blanks out unused holes up to 3-3/4" in diameter, restoring your door's aesthetic cleanliness and privacy in minutes.

Key Problem-Solving Features

  • Universal Hole Coverage: With a wide 3-3/4" outer diameter, it easily blanks out standard 2-1/8" cross-bores, larger non-standard cutouts, and messy retrofit scarring.

  • Rigid, Heavy-Duty Build: Formed from durable 16-gauge (.060) steel to resist flexing, warping, or tampering.

  • Tamper-Resistant Sandwich Design: Supplied with a matching backer plate and a heavy-duty #10-32 x 1-1/2" Flat Head Machine Screw. It clamps tightly from the inside out, ensuring a secure fit that can't be easily pried away.

  • Paintable Options: Available in a Prime Coated (PC) factory finish that arrives ready for you to paint, matching your exact door color seamlessly.

  1. Align the Plates: Place the finished exterior plate over the hole on the outside face of the door, and place the matching clamp plate on the opposite interior side.

  2. Drop in the Bolt: Feed the included machine screw right through the center mounting hole.

  3. Tighten to Clamp: Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw into the threaded backer plate. The two plates will draw flush and clamp securely onto the door surface.
